Wholesale Manager Requirements

A wholesale manager’s main responsibility is to oversee the activities in a wholesale store. There are employees at various levels in a wholesale store. The focus of the wholesale manager is to supervise their functions and recommend improvements in performance, if required. The wholesale manager has to also process the business related meetings and negotiations with the wholesale manufacturers and the wholesale suppliers. Maintaining cordial relations with the customers is yet another very important point. The wholesale manager needs to keep a tab on the details of day to day transactions at the wholesale store with various parties.

Education requirements:

  • A high school diploma in any stream from a reputed institution with decent grades.
  • An under-graduate degree in management studies from a good college is essential.
  • The candidates with graduate degree in the field of management studies would be hugely favored for the post.
  • Certified training in wholesale management-centric projects from an accredited institute would definitely be an added advantage.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 2 to 3 years in a wholesale agency or reputed wholesale retailing company in a supervisory role.
  • The interested candidate needs to have excellent coordination skills because the work required handling a team of subordinate executives.
  • Must possess an analytical approach in negotiating deals with the wholesale manufactures and also managing the wholesale operations.
  • Should have very good documentation skills in order to file the day to day activities at the work-place.
  • Must be sincere and meet deadlines of the assignments.
