Warehouse Supervisor Requirements

As the title of the job suggests, the warehouse supervisor has a host of responsibilities to shoulder, the chief among those is managing the variegated operational activities of the warehouse in which he/she is employed. The functions of different staffs on the warehouse are overseen by the warehouse supervisor and recorded in files on a regular basis by him/her. The task of this professional is of administrative nature. The warehouse supervisor has to essentially take into account the legal framework of the company and rake optimized decisions on time to regulate the various activities in a seamless manner.

Educational requirements:

  • A high school diploma in any stream with good grades.
  • An under-graduate degree in management studies or administrative studies or in a subject closely related to this field.
  • A master’s degree or a post graduate associated diploma from a reputed university/college in supply chain management or logistics or in a subject closely related to this specific field.
  • Certified training in warehouse related supervisory projects from an accredited institute would be an added advantage.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 4 to 5 years in a supervisory role in a renowned company.
  • Must have good coordination skills.
  • Should regularly evaluate the performance quality of the subordinate executives and prepare reports.
  • Must be dynamic to meet the deadlines with efficiency.
  • Should be able to provide with basic technical solutions to the problems, if any, occurring on the administrative front of the warehouse.
  • Must have good documentation skills.
