Warehouse Lead Requirements

A warehouse lead is a staff of executive stature that is in charge of certain administrative aspects of the warehouse in which he/she is employed. The activities that are directly or indirectly related to freight are strategically supervised by the warehouse lead. The professional heads a team of subordinates who manage the operational activities of the warehouse, especially those connected with the dynamics of the inventory stock movement. The warehouse lead essentially takes into account the commercial dimensions of managing a warehouse and documents the relevant processes including the invoice details of various transactions on a regular basis.

Educational requirements:

  • A high school diploma in any stream with decent grades.
  • An under-graduate degree in management studies or administrative studies or in a subject closely related to this arena.
  • A master’s degree or a post graduate associated diploma from a reputed university/college in supply chain management or merchandise or in a subject closely related to this particular field.
  • Certified training in warehouse lead related supervisory assignments from an accredited institute would be an added advantage for the profile.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 18 to 24 months in a reputed company or an agency in an executive role.
  • Must possess good coordination skills.
  • The candidate must have ample expertise in formulating strategies of streamlining the dynamics of the inventory stock movement.
  • He/she should apply cost effective measures in managing the various warehouse related operational activities.
  • Must be hard-working and should have good documentation skills.
