Warehouse Laborer Requirements

A Warehouse Labourer is an essential professional in a warehouse department of an organization. He works with skill and dexterity. They need to move materials in and out of the warehouse to transportation vehicles, shipping docks, other warehouses or storage areas, etc. They need to report to warehouse clerks, warehouse assistants, and warehouse managers. They need to comply with all safety standards. Warehouse Labourer is required to show dedication and complete their work in the assigned time. The education requirements and job requirements of warehouse labourers are given below.

Education Requirements:

  • Candidates do not need to possess any formal education. However to have a minimum knowledge candidates must at least complete their high school.
  • Candidates need to have certification or license to operate in a warehouse.
  • Candidates who have done their graduation or post-graduation will get a slight advantage during recruitment.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must have both physical and mental ability to carry out the job of a warehouse labourer.
  • Candidates must be willing to take orders from higher supervisors and execute them in the right manner within the scheduled time.
  • Candidates must ensure safety conditions to prevail while handling equipments and materials in the warehouse.
  • The materials in the warehouse must be appropriately stocked and maintained.
  • Applicants must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Warehouses labourers may also need to work in shifts.
  • Any damages, repairs, defects, etc need to be reported and properly accounted for.
  • The candidate must be ready to work for long hours.
