Warehouse Associate Requirements

The warehouse associate has to shoulder a host of responsibilities. The core of the tasks is to provide administrative support to the functional body of the warehouse. The activities in a warehouse involve the movements of inventory stock, packing of the goods, delivering of the orders and likewise other functions. The warehouse associate keeps a record of all these activities and documents the operations on a regular basis. He/she has to generally report to the warehouse manager or supervisor. On certain occasions, the professional has to work in a team and deliver the expected results.

Educational requirements:

  • A high school diploma in any stream with good grades from a reputed educational institute.
  • An associate degree or a bachelor’s degree in logistics or administrative studies or in a subject close to the field.
  • Certified training in warehouse related administrative assignment from an accredited institute is an added advantage.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 18 to 24 months in a renowned company at an associate position.
  • Should have ample expertise in maintaining all the pertinent records of the warehouse inventory movements including the details of the invoices of each and every transaction executed.
  • Must carefully note the exclusive features of the goods’ varieties – weight, volume and other points.
  • Should be a team player as the work requires occasional handling of assignments in a team.
  • Must possess very good coordination skills so as to smoothly interact with the seniors and the subordinates.
  • Should possess excellent skills of documentation.
