VP Sales Requirements

As the title of the job position indicates, the VP sales of any business entity has a host of responsibilities to shoulder. The operations of the marketing and sales departments are supervised by the vice president sales and accordingly reported to the directors of the company. The work includes building strategic relationships with other business for marketing purposes, supervising the formulation and execution of innovative advertising methods and also modulating of the sales targets and marketing policies. The VP Sales also has the responsibility to focus on the specific distribution channels centered on increasing the sales revenues of the company.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree from a reputed educational institute in any stream, scoring good grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or in a subject closely related to this field from a decent college is compulsorily sought.
  • A masters in business administration from a good university with sales and marketing as specialization would be of great advantage for the interested applicant.
  • Certified training in the sales and marketing field and related certificate courses or associated diplomas from accredited institutes would certainly be a big plus for the candidate.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in devising the various sales objectives for the company to be executed by the sales and marketing department.
  • Evaluation of the performance of the senior sales personnel.
  • Supervising the sales training programs and marketing projects.
  • Forming liaisons with known brands for the purpose of promoting the product and the company brand name.
  • Continuously focusing on expanding the client base.
