An ultrasound technician is a very important medical staff and plays a prominent role either in a private hospital or government medical institute. He/she works under a medical supervisor or senior doctor and assists in diagnosing the ailments of the patients and suggests in measures to cure the disease. The work of an ultrasound technician involves studying the patient and in certain cases, using imaging techniques in locating the problem zones in the body. Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree in science stream with top grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in medicine/biology/physics from a reputed university with first class honors.
  • A master’s degree in medicine/biology/physics from a reputed university with first class honors will be an added advantage.
  • Certified training in ultrasound applications.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of about 2 years in a reputed medical institute.
  • Having extensive knowledge of various ultrasound technological equipments and their maintenance.
  • Monitoring the standard of the ultrasound instruments and taking note on the supply and demand of the stocks.
  • A sincere team player.
  • Documenting the ultrasound related proceedings on a regular basis.
  • He must have good interpersonal skills and must have good tolerance level to deal with the patients.
