Traffic Engineer Education Requirements
Individuals who have been trained to maintain the traffic and transportation system of a nation or any smaller geographical area in a properly designed and technically engineered pattern are officially recognized as traffic engineers. The basic duties of a traffic engineer entails of designing an efficient transportation structure that utilizes the minimum funds yet assures maximum safety and is environmentally fit to be executed. Traffic Engineer education requirements:
- Successful completion of High School with high grades especially in mathematics and Science is compulsorily required for all candidates.
- An undergraduate program, certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, in Transportation Engineering/Science/Technology or any related field such as civil or mechanical engineering, transportation planning and architecture, logistics, etc.
- Logical and technical skills, in addition to written and speaking abilities, are essential to be possessed by candidates interested in Traffic Engineering.

- Professional Engineer [P.E] licensure
