Stock Clerk Requirements

The main function of the stock clerk is providing the necessary assistance in the administrative activities of a warehouse or a supply chain network of a company. A stock clerk has the prime responsibility to maintain the details of stock flows of the goods in and out of the inventory. He/she has to keep very detailed records of such flows along with documentation of the invoices for each of the transaction. The stock clerk has to report to his/her supervising officer about the reports and relevant data sheets that he/she prepares briefing the details of the inventory movements.

Education requirements:

  • A high school diploma from a reputed educational institute in any stream with decent grades.
  • Though a higher degree in not necessary to be considered for the job but an associate degree in organizational studies or logistic accounting or a closely related subject may prove to be helpful in securing the job.
  • Certified training in handling clerical assignments from an accredited institute would be of great advantage for the interested applicant.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 12 to 15 months in a reputed company in a clerical post.
  • The candidate must possess very strong skills of documentation and preparing and maintain data sheets about the inventory movements on a day to day basis.
  • Should be able to abide by the regulatory norms of the company and apply the same while detailing the nature of every transaction at the workplace within the given domain.
  • Should be sincere and accurately follow instructions.
