A software architect plays a vital role in any software company. A software architect is a person who creates application framework for an organization. The role of software architect involves development of software structure for the company. The job of software architect requires excellent technical expertise and communication skills. Following are the education and job criteria needed by the companies in order to hire a software architect

Software Architect Education Requirements:

  • Candidate should be a software engineer or hold a bachelor or master’s degree in computer science.
  • Candidate must hold a bachelor degree preferably in Science or Mathematics.
  • If undergraduate, applicant need to have completed software development program from recognized computer institute.
  • Masters in Business Administration or Computer Applications is also considered for the post.

Software Architect Job Requirements:

  • Candidates should have strong leadership skills.
  • Candidates must be well versed with OOPS concepts and must be expert in different computer languages.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in software development is needed.
  • Candidates must have excellent management skills.
  • Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidates should be able to develop and implement projects as per the company requirements.
  • Candidates must be updated about various happenings in the field of software development.
