Singer’s Requirements

Singers entertain the classes and the masses as their skills suits. They perform live on stage or they perform back stage as voices on screen. The voices are recorded back stage for television, films and also music CD’s. Singers can be classified into classical and popular singers. Both have knowledge in voice production, harmony, melody and rhythm. Singers can be professional performers or teachers in schools and colleges.

Singer’s Education Requirements:

  • Candidate must have interest and knack in the field of singing
  • A graduation or post-graduation is an added advantage though not the main criteria for selection of the right candidate
  • Candidate should understand the genre of music he or she is applying to

Singer’s Job Requirements:

  • Applicant must be able to learn fast as it requires quick understanding or assigned music
  • Applicant must proactively practice and participate in required events
  • Applicant should be prepared to perform with the music as and when asked for
  • Applicant should be able to handle pressure and perform within the timeline suggested or recommended
  • Applicant must have sound knowledge of the basics of music
  • Applicant must be aware about various musical instruments.

A singer can be a professional or a teacher. The techniques applied are different and so are the requirements. A candidate must be clear on this part to be able to outshine competition.
