Sales Consultant Requirements

Selling of the products of a particular company is unarguable the main operation that brings in the maximum revenue earnings for the concerned business entity. A sales consultant is a person who focuses on the qualitative assessment of the various features of a specific product or a series of branded services that have defined utilities for the customers. He/she has the prime responsibility to provide the clients with suggestive measures about buying or not buying a product. The sales consultant must be having good knowledge about the product that he or she pitches for. He/she should also document the regular business activities.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree from a reputed educational institute in any stream with good grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in management studies or marketing and sales from a good college with decent grades.
  • Although a master’s degree is not necessary, but a master’s in business administration with marketing and sales as specialization would be highly favorable for the candidate’s profile.
  • Certified training from accredited institute centered on sales related projects is a very big plus.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 2 years in a reputed company as a sales advisor or consultant.
  • Should be dynamic in formulating strategies and executing those to sell the products of the concerned company to the clients.
  • Must be possessing ample information in regards to the features of the various products on the sales desk.
  • Must be having excellent documentation skills to record the regular business activities.
