Risk management is a very complex aspect that involves almost every business arena such as operations, finance, legal etc. Thus a person handling risk management of a company has to have excellent understanding of the functionalities of the company as against the risks faced by it in the course of business. The person has to make every possible effort to save the company from all kinds of business risks. As the person progresses in career ladder the risk management activity gets more difficult and even the responsibility of the person handling this part of the company becomes very crucial for the business success.

Educational Requirements

  • The candidate should be a business management graduate compulsorily.
  • It will be highly preferred if the candidate possesses a post graduate degree in business management.
  • Even candidate with law degree or graduation with economics or mathematics or actuaries as majors is considered ideal for this position.
  • Any additional certification course in risk management will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should have very good analytical and integrative skills to manage the risk department of the company.
  • The candidate should be able to multitask and able to work under extreme pressure conditions.
  • The candidate should be aware of all the risk management concepts and techniques to practically implement in the organization.
  • The candidate having working knowledge of computers will be an added advantage.
  • The person also has to ensure that all the external agreements entered into by the company with third parties are beneficial and not harmful in any way.
