Retail Sales Manager Requirements

A retail sales manager supervises the retail sales operations of a particular company or a franchisee. The retails sales sector is growing with each passing day. The retail sales manager has the responsibility to manage a team of sales and marketing executives to promote the products of the retail company. He/she has to formulate new strategies and has to implement marketing measures to garner revenue earnings from the processes of sales. He/she has to prioritize the monthly sales target of the business. The retail sales manager also has to take into account the performance quality of the sales personnel.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school diploma in any stream with good grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in management studies or in any subject closely related to this stream from a decent college.
  • The candidates having masters in business administration with specialization in retail sales and marketing are highly favored.
  • Certified training from accredited institutions centered on retails sales and management would be of great advantage.

Job Requirements:

  • The candidate must have ample coordination skills as the work demands managing a team of sales executives on a regular basis.
  • The interested applicants must be well versed in strategizing the marketing measures to be implemented to improve the growth rate of retail sales.
  • Must document the progress of the sales team and also evaluate the performance of individual sales executive.
  • Should be able to incorporate innovative advertising strategies to meet the monthly sales targets and help the business find new clients.
