Retail Management Trainee Requirements

A retail management trainee usually works in a retail chain. It can be that of an electronics goods or automobiles or any other high end products or even in perishable consumer goods retail chain. He/she has the responsibility to assess and monitor the retail operations of the company, applying management skills to better the overall performance of the particular store where he/she is working. Education Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in any stream with at least a second class honors.
  • A master’s degree is an advantage.
  • A master’s degree in retail management is sought.
  • Certified training in management related basic software packages is a plus.

Job Requirements:

  • The interested candidates must have excellent communications skills.
  • The candidates should exhibit great expertise in coordinating the in-house staffs.
  • Should be able plan for the maintenance and regular upgrading of the infrastructure of the retail chain network.
  • Must possess basic concepts of logistics.
  • Should have assessment skills to gauge and solve the customer problems.
  • Should be always ready to market the retail brand in an innovative frame.
  • Must document the day-to-day activities.
