Restaurant Trainee Requirements

A restaurant trainee is a person who learns the various works of the restaurant including honing soft skills. The trainee needs to work under a supervisor and learn the finer points of not necessarily only cooking and serving, but also managing the restaurant staff and looking after the customer satisfaction level. The responsibilities also include, in certain cases, monitoring the logistics and streamlining the costs. Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any stream from a reputed institute with at least a second class honors.
  • A master’s degree in hotel or restaurant management from a reputed institute with first class honors is compulsory.
  • Basic training in restaurant management courses.

Job Requirements:

  • Having excellent communication skills, especially in spoken English.
  • Should be a sincere team player and have fine coordination skills to manage the restaurant staffs.
  • Must be able to regularly monitor the level of customer satisfaction and suggest policies and implement strategies to improve it.
  • Must have fundamental knowledge of the logistics required support the restaurant services.
  • Should have basic documentation skills in order to file the daily proceedings of the restaurant activities.
