Restaurant Operations Manager Requirements

A restaurant operations manager has the prime responsibility of supervising the different operational activities of a restaurant. A restaurant has many services to be rendered to the customers. A few of those are maintaining cordial relationship with them, preparing good food, flawlessly serving them etc. The restaurant operations manager has the core task of see that the finances and the marketing of the restaurant are always at a good status. The buying of raw materials for the food and the performance of the employees are few of the responsibilities that a restaurant operations manager takes into account while exercising the managerial skills.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree in any stream with good records.
  • The candidate must be a graduate, preferably in operations management, or in a subject closely related to this field from a reputed college.
  • A post graduate degree in operations management from a good university with decent grades is a huge advantage.
  • Associate degree or certificates in hotel or restaurant management courses is a big plus point in the candidate’s profile/
  • Certified training in projects centered on restaurant operations management from an accredited institute is appreciable.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 12 to 15 months as a senior operations executive at a restaurant.
  • Must possess ample expertise in coordinating and guiding the operations department employees in managing the restaurant.
  • Should have very clear ideas about the various logistics applications.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Should be ready to perform target oriented tasks.
