A restaurant manager is responsible for the smooth working of a restaurant on all fronts like staff management, hospitality, expenditure, revenue, food sales, quality and others. Thus he is the responsible for the overall management of the restaurant. The education and job requirements of restaurant manager are as follows.

Restaurant Manager  Education Requirements:

  • A candidate must be a graduate preferably in management.
  • A candidate must have done degree or diploma in hotel management.
  • Any additional courses or degree related to management and hotel industry will provide and edge over the others.

Restaurant Manager Job Requirements:

  • A candidate should have a pleasing personality so as to keep the customers happy.
  • The applicant should have good communication and management skills so that he can manage his staff properly and motivate them to work with best of their capability.
  • He should have calm and cordial character and set examples for the other staff members.
  • An applicant must be capable of handling any unpleasant incidents.
  • A candidate should have good manners and should be presentable.
  • An applicant must be good with numbers so that he can take care of the restaurant accounts.
