A restaurant is where people enjoy their leisure time or meet informally to discuss business matters. There are various categories of staffs who work at the restaurant. A restaurant food runner is one such employee. An efficient restaurant runner provides assistance to the kitchen staffs by performing a range of activities from keeping the kitchen clean to providing the customers with food and beverages on a timely basis. A restaurant food runner works in a team and reports to his/her immediate senior executive. In order to optimize the costs of running a restaurant business, the role of a restaurant runner at the bottom level is very important.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree in any stream from a reputed educational institute with decent grades.
  • Although an undergraduate degree is not compulsory but a bachelor’s degree in hotel management or in any subject closely related to this particular field from a good college or university is highly regarded. .
  • Certified training as a restaurant food runner from accredited institutes is a strong point in the candidate’s profile.

Job Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a minimum experience of 1 to 2 years in a reputed restaurant at the position of a restaurant food runner.
  • Should be very fast and accurate in maintaining the clearing tables.
  • Must be able to follow the instructions of the senior management and execute those efficiently.
  • Should have a sense of punctuality.
  • The interested applicant must have good team spirits as the work demands working in a team at certain times.
