Reflexologist Requirements

The reflexologist’s post has responsibility that is about healing the ailments of the patients by techniques of applying pressure on their hands and feet. The reflexologist exploits the nerve ends or the nerve points of the palms/feet of the patients and applies pressure to subside physical or psychological illness.  A reflexologist works individually most of the times but on certain occasions he/she is employed by a therapeutic center or a corporate health club. The details regarding the education and job requirements of the post are given below.

Education requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in clinical sciences with at least a second class honors.
  • A master’s degree in clinical sciences is highly desirable.
  • Certified training in courses of reflexology.

Job requirements:

  • Studying the case history exhaustively.
  • Making detailed reports of the current states of the ailments.
  • Performing the required reflexology treatments as per the diagnosed sickness/ailment.
  • Doing close examinations of the palms and the feet of the patients.
  • Must apply therapeutic pressure touches to the correct reflex points of the feet and the palms.
  • The interested candidates must clearly document the reports of the patients improving/deteriorating conditions on a regular basis.
