Receiving Supervisor Requirements

The job of a receiving supervisor is an interesting one and entails a host of responsibilities. The job is of administrative nature and demands completion of tasks that more or less support the running of a storehouse or a warehouse. The professional takes care of the details of allocation in a particular storehouse in regards to certain goods and specific supplies. One of the crucial features of the job is to oversee that the activities are being executed within the regulatory framework of the company. The profession is primarily functional in the arena of retail management.

Educational requirements:

  • A high school diploma from a reputed educational institute in any stream with decent grades.
  • An undergraduate degree or an associate degree in logistics or in supply chain management or in any subject closely related to this field is highly desirable.
  • A master’s degree in supply chain management would hugely work in favor of the candidate.
  • Certified training in logistic or supply chain management related projects is a big plus.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 2 years in a renowned company.
  • Must possess good coordination skills so as to manage a team of subordinate administrators and clerks on the receiving front.
  • Should be able to particularize and maintain the details of the supplies.
  • Must maintain a regular tab on the invoices.
  • Must ensure that the junior staffs comply with the necessary legal and safety regulations.
  • Should oversee and document the delivery of every kind of orders.
