Radiologist Physician Education Requirements


A radiologist physician is a doctor who diagnoses patients with the means of medical system. There are different types of medical imaging system and they can be achieved through MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), Computer Tomography, Mammography, Ultrasounds, X-Rays, etc.

An aspiring radiologist physician has to complete his graduation, complete medical schooling and must be a part of fellowship training. The candidate should have a science background in his graduation. Getting into a medical school is not that easy so students have to prepare hard and should be ambitious. Students spend the first two year reviewing the basics of biochemistry, pathology, physiology and anatomy. They learn medical laws and ethics, how to communicate with a patient and obtain medical histories. In the final two years the students work in various medical facilities so that they put their knowledge in to practice and this is done under the eye of a licensed doctor.

To begin practising as doctors, they have to obtain a license from their state by passing the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
