Radio Station Requirements

Radio Station Manager manages the entire management related issues in a radio station. Starting from leading the management team to ensure they meet the key objectives of the station till the output, audience, or revenue. He is responsible from hiring till firing and taking care of purchasing, accounting and staff supervision. The candidate has to device the strategies for revenue generation and he also needs to solve any issues related to the station. He has to coordinate between the staff and the artists. He needs to be well versed with digital audio workstations, multi-track production, recording and broadcast consoles, and audio storage systems.

Educational Requirements

  • He must have a complete in any relevant field such as broadcasting and journalism,
  • Must get training or do internship from any broadcasting station.
  • Must have some management degree to support the variety of work he might have to handle.
  • The applicant must be computer literate with experience about latest trends and technology used in sound recording, broadcasting etc.

Job Requirements

  • The applicant should have five or more years of working experience in broadcast and media management, production, operations, and leading teams.
  • He must have leading ability to guide others along with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have good knowledge about field recording and sound reinforcement and studio recording, post production, and “live” broadcast procedures and protocols.
  • Operational experience with satellite uplink/downlink equipment; rf transmission.
  • He should be willing to work in shifts and overnight if the when other staff is not available.
