The objective of a quality control officer is to monitor the products manufactured in the organization fits the purpose and meets the customer expectations and legal compliance. This profile needs a lot of credibility and responsibility which a quality officer has to look after. The quality control officer has to make sure that the product is reliable and meet the quality standards. They have to constantly test the standards to see that they can deliver the best product to the customers. There are various specialization branches available for a quality control officer such as inventory control, product design, research and development or purchase. These people must coordinate with Product manufacturing and marketing departments to create and deploy highly efficient ways of getting the high quality products.

Educational Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in processing and manufacturing as a major subject is essential.
  • The applicant can also get a degree in management and food science from a reputed institute.
  • Deep interest and knowledge about quality control measures and techniques is needed.
  • He must have in depth knowledge about all the technologies applied for quality control.

Job Requirements

  • One has to understand the customer requirement so that the desired quality products or services can be delivered.
  • Prior experience of 1-2 years is desirable but not essential.
  • The candidate should have excellent knowledge about documentation and testing.
  • The applicant must have excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • The candidate must coordinate with other departments to get to know the details about the expectation of the customer.
  • Ability to make critical design and technical recommendations.
