Quality Assurance Technician Requirements

As the title of the job suggests, the quality assurance technician focuses on gathering information such as collecting numerical data, studying them thoroughly in regards to assessing the quality of a particular product and streamlining the processing of the efficiency obtained from the usage of the product. The quality assurance technician works in a range of industries from manufacturing to telecom service to automobiles. He/she has to report to the quality manager about the progress of a specific assignment. In many situations, the quality assurance technician has to work in a team of professionals involving a quality management project.

Education requirements:

  • A high school diploma with decent grades preferably in science stream with mathematics as one of the subjects.
  • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics or statistics or computer science from a reputed college.
  • Interested applicants with master’s degree in mathematics or statistics or computer science would have an edge over others.
  • Certified training in quality assurance related projects from an accredited institute would be an added advantage.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 12 to 15 months in a renowned company as the position of a quality assurance technician.
  • Must have full knowledge about the product features and specifications.
  • Should possess ample expertise in qualitative research using the available software and statistical tools.
  • Must be accurate in preparation of graphs, audits if required and the test results.
  • Must be a very good team player.
  • Should be dynamic in executing assignments meeting the deadlines.
