Production Maintenance Manager Requirements
The job responsibilities of a production maintenance manager are to oversee the various modes and applications of production and keep a tab on the dynamics of it. He/she has the task of optimizing the production costs and see that proper streamlining procedures are used in regards to the production of the goods and/or services of the company. The production maintenance manager usually works in a specific production unit of a factory or a company; for example the manufacturing unit of an automobile company. He/she leads a team of junior production maintenance staffs in various projects.
Education requirements:
- A high school diploma in the science stream with mathematics as one of the subjects with decent grades.
- An under-graduate degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or in any subject closely related to the field is a mandatory requirement.
- The candidates with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering are highly favored.
- Certified training in industry related projects from an accredited institute is a plus point.
Job requirements:
- An experience of at least 5 years in a supervisory role in a reputed company.
- Must have ample expertise to conduct the maintenance related inspection of the production line.
- Should be very careful in formulating the safety policies and norms and implement them in the production units.
- Should be prolific in planning the production maintenance services and executing the required technical assignments.
- Must possess excellent coordination skills.
- Must have excellent skills of documentation to regularly keep track of the activities.
