Product Manager Requirements

A Product Manager profile involves product lifecycle management including requirement understanding from the customer and defining the product’s boundaries. Working with the sales, engineering, marketing and other support teams to ensure customer requirements are met without burdens on the cost front is a much desired ability for this profile. Helping shape up a product which is in complete alignment with the vision, mission and goals of the company and also fits snugly into the customer’s overall definition of a great product from the company’s point of view is a necessary trait.

Educational Requirements

  • The candidate must be a graduate from any stream.
  • The candidate must have done his masters in management with good scores.
  • Any additional diploma, degree or course in product management will add advantage to the profile of the candidate.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an assistant product manager is needed.
  • Demonstrated success in executing and delivering successful product launches across multiple companies in both the service and traditional manufacturing is required.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and travel unconditionally whenever needed – is a much celebrated trait.
  • Development of sales tools and collaterals and working within budget and timelines to ensure success is a must-be requirement.
  • Working with external vendors and other third-parties to ensure successful collaboration and partnership is an important assessment parameter for this profile.
  • The candidate must have good management skills.
  • The candidate must have good knowledge about the latest trends in the market related to their company’s product.
