Pharmaceuticals Sales Manager Requirements

The selling of variegated goods and services of a pharmaceutical company is the main activity that garners revenue earnings for the business entity. The company recruits a number of persons in the marketing and sales division for achieving the sales target as set by the top management. The pharmaceuticals sales manager leads a team of sales executives in achieving these targets and even, if possible, over-achieves those. The manager formulates different kinds of sales strategies and marketing ploys in order to accelerate the growth rate of the pharmaceutical product sales. He/she also evaluates the quality of the performance of the subordinate sales executives.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree in any stream from a reputed educational institute with decent grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in management studies or in pharmacy from a good college and with nice grades is highly sought.
  • A master’s in business administration with specialization in marketing and sales would put the interested applicant to a very beneficial position.
  • Certified training in pharmaceutical product selling from an accredited institute is of great advantage for the candidate.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 2 years at the position of a pharmaceuticals sales executive in a reputed company or in an agency.
  • Must have leadership skills and good coordination abilities required to handle a team.
  • Should be dynamic in formulating innovative sales strategies and executing those to meet the monthly sales targets.
  • Must be always ready to work over-time.
  • Should be sincere and punctual.
