The pharmaceutical sector is one of the most important arenas of business that is growing at a rapid pace. The pharmaceutical researcher has the prime responsibility to develop newer varieties of drugs that benefit the mankind. The researcher must have ample expertise in regards to the advanced concepts of biochemistry and similar subjects that are crucial to innovate and create more efficient pharmaceutical products. The pharmaceutical researcher is recruited by pharmaceutical companies, research institutes, hospitals and government medical agencies. On many occasions, the concerned professional works in a team of researchers. He or she also works on individual assignments or projects as required.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree in the science stream with good grades with chemistry and biology as the core subjects.
  • An undergraduate degree in chemistry or biology from a reputed educational institute with decent grades is highly sought.
  • A graduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry from a well known college or university is an added advantage to the candidate’s profile.
  • Certified training in pharmaceutical research projects from accredited institutes is a big plus.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 15 to 18 months as a pharmaceutical researcher in a well known research institute or company.
  • Must have skills and knowledge of advanced scientific methods and applications necessary to conduct complex research processes in the field.
  • Should possess good team spirits and must be focused.
  • Must have excellent documentation skills to file the regular activities on the research front.
  • Should be ready to work overtime.
