Pharmaceutical Business Development Requirements

As the name of the post suggests, a job in the sphere of pharmaceutical business development encapsulates a host of responsibilities. The concerned person has to manage a team of subordinate executives in due course of developing a full-fledged business for the company where he/she works. The work is to create leads that would create a growth in the sales of the pharmaceutical products. Moreover, he/she should also incorporate cost effective measures to promote the business in an optimized manner. The job focusing on the pharmaceutical business development also demands formulating strategies to accelerate the rate of revenue earnings by meeting the monthly targets as set by the management.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree in any stream from a reputed educational institute with good grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in management studies or in a subject closely related to this field from a decent college.
  • Though not necessary, but a master’s degree in sales and marketing would be of great benefit to the interested applicant.
  • Certified training in business development projects for pharmaceutical companies from an accredited institute is a big plus in the candidate’s profile.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 12 months as a pharmaceutical business development executive in a well known company.
  • The candidate must possess excellent communication skills as the work involves interacting with different people.
  • Must have very good documentation skills for recording the regular business activities.
  • Should be punctual at work.
  • Must meet the monthly sales targets.
