Pharmaceutical Assistant Requirements

As the name of the position suggests, a pharmaceutical assistant has a host of responsibilities to shoulder in the pharmaceutical division of a medical research institute or in a similar organization. The pharmaceutical assistant has to perform certain administrative jobs for the concerned company or organization. He/she may also have to handle a number of tasks that are directly related to developing of the pharmaceutical products and marketing of those to the targeted customers. A pharmaceutical assistant has to often work in a team of executives and report the progress of the projects and the assignments to his/her immediate senior and document the proceedings.

Education Requirements:

  • A high school degree from a reputed educational institute in the science stream with very good grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical studies or in chemistry from a decent college is highly sought.
  • Some sort of associate degree or diploma from a reputed institute in regards to the stream of pharmaceutical studies is appreciable.
  • Certified training in pharmaceutical related projects from an accredited institute is a big plus in the candidate’s profile.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 12 to 15 months as a pharmaceutical assistant in a well known company or in a research institute.
  • The interested applicant must have ample expertise in the general administrative based tasks of a pharmaceutical assistant.
  • Must possess good team spirits as the work demands working in a team on certain occasions.
  • Should be punctual.
  • Must be hard-working.
  • Should document the daily proceedings.
