A Networks management professional profile involves administration of network services in a company. Taking care of multiple web and database setups hosted on the company’s datacenters spread locally as well as globally is a must. Protecting the company’s investment in IT Infrastructure by keeping the assets secure and error-free, is a key trait much needed for this profile nowadays. Firewall security and internal security administration are some of the other key aspects of this profile. Managing multiple intranets within the company’s structure and ensuring that the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT systems remains intact is also a much needed attribute.

Educational Requirements

  • The candidate must be a graduate in computer related subject.
  • The candidate must have done masters in computers with specialization in networking.
  • Any additional degree or diploma in networking will surely prove to be an added advantage.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an assistant network manager is needed.
  • Proven skills and expertise in determining network topology and enhancing the same on a continual basis, is a must-be feature.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and travel at short notice – is a desired but not mandatory aspect.
  • Implementing and maintaining network security so that business data and communications are secure is also a key job requirement.
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of virus protection and backups for the key Servers to thwart loss of data and damage of hardware and software.
  • The candidate must keep himself updated with the latest networking technologies.
