A media relations officer or a public relations manager performs similar job of maintaining good relationships with the government, general public, and other stakeholders. Various forms of messages may need to be communication from the firm like a company, political parties, an independent organization, etc to the mass public. This is facilitated by a media relations officer hired by the firm. Candidates who want to become a media relations officer should ideally have a media degree in graduation and post graduation.   • When the media firm is under criticism, then the media relations officer bails out of the situation by communicating reasons and answering the queries of media.
  • The media relations officer should have detailed public and non-public information about the company and should represent the firm in front of media and people in the most appropriate manner.
