Manufacturing Technician Requirements

A Manufacturing Technician works for the maintenance and repair of the machinery and products of an organization. He works with the manufacturing department to take care of the technical issues arising in the department. He has to be very attentive to find out any defect in the machinery so that the problem can be sorted out before it gets worsen up. There are various specialization branches available for manufacturing technicians such as inventory control, product design, research and development or purchase. These people must coordinate with Product manufacturing and marketing departments to create and deploy highly efficient ways of getting the technical issues sorted out.

Educational Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in processing and manufacturing as a major subject is essential.
  • Ability to make critical design and technical recommendations.
  • Must be computer literate so that the data entry and other required work can be performed by him.
  • Deep interest and knowledge about quality control measures and techniques is needed.
  • He must have in depth knowledge about all the technologies applied in manufacturing industry.

Job Requirements

  • Should have worked in a wide variety of sectors with at least 5 to 7 years of prior experience.
  • Excellent ability required in delivering high-quality work especially in the field of preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to repair both automotive and construction related manufacturing equipments is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Extensive repairing experience is needed in the field of automobiles, in case the candidate has prior experience in the same.
