Manufacturing Manager Requirements

A Manufacturing Manger takes care of the entire manufacturing process to get the product manufactured in most cost-effective manner. He ensures that products are manufactured in time and delivered to the clients. He is the one who manage all the operations of product manufacturing. The satisfaction of the customer is the main focus of a manufacturing plant Manager. This profile needs a lot of responsibility and credibility of the candidate. They also need to coordinate between the sales and purchase departments to manage the supply chain of the product cycle. They have to follow the budget limits and standards set while managing the manufacturing plant. He also has to allocate resources and enhance the overall quality of the product.

Educational Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a top-tier institute is needed.
  • Certifications in quality control measures and techniques used in manufacturing are needed.
  • A management degree in operations management is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience of up to 9 to 12 years as a manufacturing assistant manager is needed.
  • Willingness to put in those extra hours or working during the weekends is a desirable attribute.
  • The candidate should be travel ready and be available for travelling to warehouses and to suppliers and vendors across the country.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure a healthy, safe and hygienic work environment is required.
  • Delivering results while working with multiple stakeholders in a challenging work environment is required.
  • Ability to justify the allocation of financial resources amongst the various departments is a much appreciated attribute.
