Maintenance Manager Requirements
A maintenance manager has the prime responsibilities to maintain and make the necessary repairs of the various equipments and machine tools of a particular section or segment of a plant. It is the task of the maintenance manager to regularly check the performance of the machines and the productions and supporting equipments along with the safety tools. He/she upgrades or recommends and supervises replacements of the machine parts judging the need of those. He/she usually leads a tea of subordinate maintenance workers in different projects.
Education requirements:
- A high school diploma in the science stream from a reputed educational institute with decent grades.
- A technical degree from a reputed college or university, preferably related to the field of maintenance engineering.
- Certified training of computerized maintenance management system.
Job requirements:
- Should possess a minimum experience of at least 3 years in a supervisory role in the maintenance section of a reputed company.
- Must be focused on optimizing the operating costs of the various maintenance related projects.
- Should be able to coordinate between the technicians and other staffs in processing the specific maintenance centered assignments.
- Must be very careful in formulating the maintenance safety rules and properly implement those and regularly upgrade the systems as per requirements.
- The interested candidates should be able to initiate the urgent repair works, monitor those and finish them within a specified period of time flawlessly.
- The profession requires a thorough documentation of the regular activities of the maintenance department.
