Stenographer Requirements
A stenographer is a person who takes dictations in shorthand or steno machines and then transfers them to documents that are required for businesses. A stenographer also takes down important remarks in meetings and later makes a summary and presents them to the respective people. They have other roles too like answering phones, typing, and filling of documents.
Stenographer Educational Requirements:
Candidates wishing to apply for this position should have a high school diploma.
- Candidates having a college degree, vocational training, or a degree in business school are preferred.
- Candidates having an advanced certificate program in Stenography are required for certain positions.
Stenographer Job Requirements:
- Stenographers should have good writing and reading skills. They should have a good command over their language as well.

- Candidates should have fluency while writing and should have the ability to take on multitude tasks.
- Candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience in typing are preferred.
