IT Management Requirements

An IT Manager profile involves executing the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting IT infrastructure on the network front. On the internal systems front, supervising troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and providing expert support when needed – is also part of this profile. On the asset management side of things, managing the purchase of all software, hardware and other IT supplies at the required level and building and nurturing vendor relationships for effective selling and purchasing of IT software and / or IT hardware, is a must.

Educational Requirements

  • The candidate must have completed years of school plus college education and he must have undergone a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science and / or computer management.
  • A marvelous educational background coupled with unmatchable computer software, programming and hardware / networking skills is a must.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a junior IT manager is needed.
  • Reporting on the status of various IT Infra to senior management and facilitating team meetings effectively, is a requirement.
  • Initiating and implementing improvements in all areas of IT responsibility and scope.
  • Serving as main point of contact on all IT-related matters for the assigned work areas.
  • Respond/act on senior management’s direction to ensure smooth flow of information.
  • Identifies and provides principles for gathering information for use in trend analysis and reports information to company management.
  • The candidate must keep himself updated with the latest technical improvements in the IT sector.
