Insurance agent is an individual who helps the clients in selecting appropriate Insurance policies as per their requirements. Insurance Agent can work independently or can be hired by an Insurance company. Insurance agent should provide information to client about various insurance policies and how the client will benefit by selecting a particular insurance policy. An Insurance agent should be a good sales person with pleasing personality.

Insurance Agent Education Requirements:

  • Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree preferably in business and economics.
  • Applicant can also be an undergraduate with proven sales records.
  • An applicant with successful completion of Insurance agent course offered by various Insurance companies will have an edge over the others.
  • An applicant can also work part time pursing his college education.
  • In some cases an applicant need to hold a valid license for selling Insurance policies.

Insurance Agent Job Requirements:

  • Candidate should speak fluent English and have command over a local language.
  • Applicant must possess good marketing and selling skills.
  • Candidate should have a smart personality and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be able to adhere to the deadlines.
  • Applicant must have a flair for sales.
  • Candidates must be updated about various changes in the field of Insurance.
