Hotel Management Requirements

A Hotel Management professional ensures the operational efficacy and excellence of a hotel from a quality of service perspective. The hotel management people are responsible for managing and providing high quality of food and ambience. They have to understand the requirements of the customer and direct the business into the same path to get the best results from the company along with good revenue generation. Most of the time they meet the customers who expect on-time delivery and good service. They have to manage the entire gamut of marketing the hotel brand and operations of the hotel etc to deliver superior personalized service to each customer. At the top-most priority of their set of tasks is ensuring on time delivery, quick response and resolution of customer complaints without causing any inconvenience to the customer.

Educational Requirements

  • The candidate must have done some advance diploma, certificate or preferably degree course in hotel management.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a hotel of national or preferably international repute is a must.
  • An MBA in hotel administration is a desirable but not mandatory requirement.

Job Requirements

  • Dealing efficiently with a multitude of tasks and conflicting priorities is a required skill.
  • Must be willing to go to any extent to ensure comfort for the customer.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders and teams to ensure error-free service for the customer from an end-to-end scenario.
  • The applicant must have good communications skills in English and in some widely spoken foreign languages as well.
  • The candidate must have a pleasing personality.
