Homeland Security Requirements

The homeland security works for the national and/or state government. The objectives of the homeland security are clearly defined – the main being protecting the nation from threats of any nature, external and internal. It is very important to build a full proof security network and an integrated system that would defend the homeland against terrorist activities. Concentrating on the computer aided security infrastructure is one of the keys. The points that are mentioned below would indicate clearly about the education and job requirements for the post.

Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a reputed institute in any of the social sciences/public administration with first class grades.
  • A master’s degree from a reputed institute in any of the social sciences/public administration with first class grades is highly desirable.
  • Certified training in security related assignments.

Job Requirements:

  • The candidate must have a minimum experience of 4 years as security personnel in the government sector.
  • Should have very good organizational skills and must have an analytical frame of mind.
  • He/she must be aware of the various security related technological innovations – both in hardware and software systems.
  • A candidate should have fine coordination skills.
  • Must document the proceedings on a regular basis.
  • He should be a team player.
