Health Service Manager Requirements

The job of a health service manager requires one to manage the in-house facilities and processes of health related institutes, such as hospitals and nursing homes. He/she is responsible for overseeing the arena of medical administration for a smooth running of the business, simultaneously benefitting the medical staffs and the patients. The health service manager integrates the various segments of medical facilities and monitors their functioning.

Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any stream. Graduation in medicine related field would be an added advantage.
  • A master’s degree is preferable.
  • A master’s in business administration is sought with specialization in health services management.
  • Training in administering health services with a certified diploma is essential.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of at least 5 years in a reputed health related organization.
  • The interested candidates must coordinate activities between the different medical departments.
  • The person must manage the medical records on a regular basis.
  • The applicant, on certain occasions, need to streamline the matters related to human resources in the hospital or health organization.
  • Should look after the safety measures of the staff and the patients in the hospital premises.
