A gym teacher is usually in charge of the athletic classes designed for providing students with physical fitness education. Gym Teacher Qualifications and Training

A gym teacher must be physically fit and have extensive knowledge about physical therapy and education. He must know body building techniques and various physical exercises. In fact, a knowledge in devising innovative exercises as per the student’s physical health or built is the key. Besides, knowledge in advising dietary meals and a basic knowledge of the human anatomy, especially the muscular system, is beneficial.  Knowledge is using heavy and light gym equipment and assembling the same is a must.

A gym teacher can receive hands-on training from accredited organizations that impart such training. Various community gyms are authorized to give such training.
