A crisis hotline specialist has got a range of responsibilities. The main focus is to interact with the clients via telephone/mails and also one-to-one at the desk during a session and try to understand their specific problems. The priority is quick diagnosing of the problem by assessing the intensity of the situations in which the clients are. The mental statuses of the clients are checked by the crisis hotline specialists and they try to recommend appropriate remedial measures to provide mental support.
