Certified Bank Auditor Education Requirements

A certified bank auditor is someone who has the necessary qualifications to examine the financial records of a bank and to check if they are indulging in any fraud or malpractice or not following the rules and regulations laid down by the state.

It is a very important job and hence the auditor needs to have the right qualifications which will show that he has received proper training to this job and is up to date on any modifications that might have taken place in this field. The education requirements for this job must include a bachelor’s degree at least and then he will be qualified for a certification offered by many organizations, the most popular being Bank Administration Institute (BAI).

Certified Bank Auditor Education Requirements:

  • A person interested in this field needs to have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business.
  • He can study courses like investment securities, business analysis, financial assets, marketing etc
  • You can also opt for a master’s degree in business administration or accounting

All candidates must have two years of bank auditing experience in order to appear for the certification program. The BAI certification process tests the candidate in areas like accounting, auditing, laws governing banking, auditing processes and business administration
