Catering Sales Manager Requirements

As the title of the position suggests, the catering sales manager has the main responsibility of supervising the catering services of a company. He/she also has the task of promoting the services of the catering company. Food is catered at various places like hotels, private parties at homes and clubs. There are many occasions that demand a fine caterings service to the guests. A catering sales manager supervises the team of chefs and service staff to impeccably provide with excellent catering service to the people invited in a party or at a meet or function. He/she also evaluates the performance of the junior staffs.

Education Requirements:

  • A pass at the high school in any stream with good grades.
  • A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or culinary studies or in a subject closely related to the field.
  • A master’s degree in culinary studies and sales related programs is highly favored.
  • Certified training in catering projects and associated diplomas from accredited institutes.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 15 to 18 months at a senior executive level in a well known catering service.
  • Should be having excellent coordination skills since the work demands managing a team of junior chefs and catering staffs.
  • Must be aware of the advanced concepts and technologies used in the catering services.
  • Should be able to formulate innovative marketing ideas and sell the catering service’s brand name to the targeted customers.
  • Must evaluate the performance quality of the staffs and other employees.
