Astronaut’s  Requirements

Astronauts are scientists who have undergone highly sophisticated training procedures. They are qualified to explore the space as well as the earth’s atmosphere. Astronauts either travel the space in search of new enlightenment or they work in research centers and manipulate the space shuttles and equipments to bring those data and information about the universe and beyond. An astronaut can be a payload specialist, mission specialist or a pilot

Astronaut’s Education Requirements:

  • Candidate should be a Mathematics graduate or should have majored in Engineering or other sciences
  • Candidate should have had mental and physical training in order to be deemed fit to travel the space
  • Candidate should have scored excellent throughout their educational life

Astronaut’s Job Requirements:

  • Applicant must be a fast learner and experienced in ground jobs
  • Applicant must be able to handle himself or herself emotionally and physically through rigorous trainings and during missions
  • Applicant should be able to handle more responsibilities as and when allocated
  • Applicant must be capable of working as an individual or in a team.

An astronaut’s job is a dream job for many students, however, the reality is a little tougher and the candidate must be prepared mentally and physically to face the challenges that an astronaut deals with day in and day out.
