Anthropologist Requirements

An anthropologist is often termed as a social scientist. The work involves deep study and research oriented activities of the human development from a socio-cultural perspective. The anthropologist also inspects the development of human beings from a physical angle. The study of the human origin and the different characteristics of the human being, both as an individual and as a representative of a particular group is the main focus. An anthropologist mainly works in an academic environment but on certain occasions, also work for a private corporation in the human resource management field. Education requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in anthropology/sociology from an accredited institute is a must. A first division would be an added advantage.
  • A master’s degree in anthropology from an accredited institute with good grades works hugely in favor of the candidate.
  • Certified training in software packages relevant to the field is appreciated.

Job requirements:

  • A minimum experience of 3 years in anthropological projects in an academic setting is highly favorable.
  • Possessing advanced knowledge of geology and application of optimized techniques in the field work assignments.
  • A good grasp of the statistical software applications in order to sort, synthesize and analyze the numeric data gathered from field experiments.
  • The interested candidates should have enough expertise to study a project from an extensive qualitative perspective with relevant documentation.
  • Very good coordinating skills in order to interact with the team members in a productive manner and exhibiting good drafting skills about the progress of the anthropological assignments.
